James D. Hamer, O.D.

Dr. Hamer is a 1988 graduate of Indiana University School of Optometry. He has 20 years experience as an optometrist with the US Air Force. Also, he has been an Adjunct Professor for the University of Houston School of Optometry, Texas, Southern California School of Optometry, California, and Southern School of Optometry, Alabama. Dr. Hamer was the USAF European Forces Optometrist of the Year, 1996 and USAF Pacific Air Forces Optometrist of the Year, 1999, and retired from the Air Force in 2008. He is a Board Certified Diplomate of the American Academy of Optometry with awards in Systemic Disease and General Medicine, and Treatment and Management of Glaucoma. Dr. Hamer is an Optometric Physician, certified in minor surgical procedures.
