Jon Roger Hall, M.D.
Certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology Dr. J. Roger Hall is a graduate of the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. He completed his internship at the United State Naval Hospital in Newport Rhode Island, and completed his Residency and fellowship training at the University of Indiana. He was a participant in a fellowship in California with Dr. Robert M. Sinskey, one of the founding fathers of modern phacoemulsification cataract and intra-ocular lens implant surgery.
Dr. Hall maintained a solo referral practice of ophthalmology for 25 years in Wichita, Kansas, has performed well over 7,000 ocular surgeries, and is a member of the American Board of Ophthalmology. He has several scientific publications as well as chapters in ophthalmology textbooks. He has lectured and demonstrated surgical techniques at the state, national and international level. |
Dr. Hall joined the Alamogordo Eye Clinic, Inc. team in November 2001. His home office is in Las Cruces but has branch office hours in Alamogordo.
Stewart J. Hazel, M.D.
Board Certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology, Dr. Stewart Hazel received his Bachelor's degree from the University of Minnesota and a Master's degree from Colorado State University. He then returned to the University of Minnesota Medical School for his M.D. and completed his internship and Residency in Ophthalmology at the University of Minnesota. Dr. Hazel was also an Air Force flight surgeon and is a retired Colonel with 28 years of military service.
Dr. Hazel practiced comprehensive ophthalmology in Duluth, Minnesota for 21 years before moving to Southern New Mexico to join the Fillmore Eye Clinic in October 2012. He has several scientific publications and numerous presentations at national and local ophthalmology and primary care conferences. His areas of interest include evaluation and management of glaucoma and retinal diseases, including diabetic eye disease and macular degeneration. |
Dr. Hazel and his wife, Mary, enjoy living in Southern New Mexico and spending time outdoors biking, hiking and skiing. His primary office is in Alamogordo and he also sees patients two days per week in Ruidoso.
Brandon C. Hicks, O.D.
Certified by the New Mexico Board of Optometry, Dr. Brandon C. Hicks received his undergraduate degree in Health Science from Brigham University- Idaho. He graduated with honors from The Ohio State University College of Optometry. He completed his residency at The Department of Veterans Affairs Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah. This residency also included fitting specialty contact lenses at the Moran Eye Center at the University of Utah Hospital.
His areas of interest are ocular disease and contact lenses. Dr. Hicks specializes in medically treating and managing patients with cataracts, glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetic disease, and other infections or diseases of the eye. He specializes in fitting contact lenses on patients with high or abnormal amounts of astigmatism, dry eyes, keratoconus, ocular trauma, and corneal transplant. He is trained in the most recent and state of the art contact lens technology to help his patients obtain the best vision possible. |
Dr. Hicks is a member of the American Optometric Association, the American Academy of Optometry, and Beta Sigma Kappa optometry honor society. He resides in Las Cruces and loves spending time with his beautiful wife and daughter. His primary office is in Las Cruces and he also travels to Alamogordo and Deming.
